Fishing Report

As we enter into the month of April many fishing seasons will open. April 1st for flounder and April 15th for striped bass are opening days. The flounder season started off this past weekend with fish to 16 inches being caught inside Eastchester Bay, Orchard Beach Lagoon and the barges by Country Club/Pelham Bay area. Tony Rod and Reel had his limit of two flounder off the shore by the Pelham Bay Bridge. Best bait for flounder~ Jack's Jumbo bloodworms and sandworms, mussels also work for both bait and chum. Remember chumming is a must! As the water temperature warms up the bite will only get better. Striped bass are also being caught but released until April 15th. Jack's Jumbo sandworms, bloodworms and fresh clams are best bait. We will be carrying fresh bunker for opening day April 15th. The Island Current is sailing daily and catching flounder in Eastchester Bay. Our fleet of boat rentals are ready to go for the 2011 season. Remember if it isn't Jumbo it isn't Jack's! See You Soon!
