Hey How You Doing Out There In The Fishing World!?!

The flounder caught locally is on the rise. There have been 2 pound flounder caught near the City Island Bridge, in Eastchester Bay,Larchmont, Mamaroneck and behind all harbors. The best bait for catching flounder is Jack's Jumbo Bloodworms, Sandworms, mussels and lots of chum.

Also there is no shortage of striped bass around. Fish up to 20 pounds have been caught in local waters by the Throggs Neck Bridge, the Whitestone Bridge, Stepping Stone Lighthouse, and Harts Island. The best bait to catch striped bass is Jack's Fresh bunker, fresh clams, Jack's Jumbo sandworms and bloodworms.

Blackfish season is now closed until Oct. 1st for New York waters.

Fluke season opened on May 1st. Drifting using spearing, sand eels, and squid on hooks, rigs, and bucktails are your best catching bet.

Mother's Day is May 8th but every day after that is Father's Day so fish hard and every day to increase your catching odds!

PS The Island Current Fleet is sailing daily from May 5th for porgies using their special RSA permit. They are also sailing nightly from 6:30pm for striped bass and bluefish.

See You Soon!
