March Fishing Report

The snow is finally gone and spring is about ten days away. The schooly stripers have already made a move into the local waters and up through the Hudson River. Opening day for striped bass north of the George Washington Bridge is March 16th. Bait of choice is Jack's jumbo blood worms! They are also using herring, bunker, mackeral and fresh clams. The striped bass season for the Long Island Sound waters opens April 15th. Flounder season in the Long Island Sound waters opens up April 1st so make sure to come in and get your new line to put on your reels and don't forget to get your striped bass and flounder hooks as we all get ready to kick off a great 2009 fishing season!

See You Soon!
