This weeks tail end fishing report

Striped bass are doing very well under the Throgs Neck Bridge, Stepping Stone Lighthouse, Hempstead Harbor the fish are ranging from 20-28 pounds in 30-40 ft of water. Bluefish are on the inflow now in Hempstead Harbor, Execution Lighthouse the fish being caught are between 8-10 pounds. Fluke season opened today May 15th a few customers actually caught a couple of short fluke fishing for striped bass with fresh bunker which is a good sign that there will be alot of fluke around in the next couple of weeks! Porgy season opens Sat. May 24th for rental boats, private boats and shore fisherman. It also opens up for all party boats in Massachusetts. We are stocking plenty of fresh sandworms and bloodworms, live clams in and out of the shell and all types of squid. So come on down and see Big John and the boys, rent a boat, buy the freshest bait, find out where they are biting or just come to say hello!
