As we enter the final month of 2010 we are coming to the end of some seasons and the beginnings of others. Striped bass are still being caught in all the local areas around the shorelines and in the middle of Long Island Sound on bloodworms, clams, and also by jigging them. The striped bass season will officially close December 15th. You will be able to catch and release stripers through the end of the month and into the beginning of next year. The herring has come in strong fishing in Glen Island, Hudson Park, The Pelham Bay Bridge and out in the middle of the sound. Herring rigs are the best thing to use to catch these fish. Jack's will be open all winter for all of your herring and striped bass needs. We will be stocking bait through the winter and running our 10-50% off sale on all tackle in stock.
PS For that hard to find gift there are always Jack's Gift Certificates available!
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
